Who can attend the Brisbane basketball camps?
Our basketball camps are open to boys and girls aged 5–14, across all skill levels. Whether your child is picking up a basketball for the first time or is already comfortable on the court, our program supports and challenges every player.
What activities are included in the camp?
For three days, players get stuck into dribbling, passing, shooting, defence, rebounding, and team strategy – all delivered through fun, high-energy drills.
They also work through fun games, fitness exercises, and video analysis sessions to improve their technique and basketball know-how.
How are players grouped?
Children are grouped by both age and ability, so our team can deliver suitable coaching, which pushes kids just enough.
Generally, each group is made up of 10 children (with a maximum of 14), so players can get personalised attention from our coaches. If your child wants to be in the same group as a friend, just use the ‘Friends Attending’ field when you sign up!
What should my child bring to camp each day?
Please pack a nut-free lunch in a clearly labelled container, along with a refillable water bottle. Players should wear comfortable sportswear and runners – and while we provide all the necessary gear, they’re welcome to bring their own basketball if they like.
How will basketball camp benefit my child?
Our basketball camps go beyond the basics. It’s not just about dribbling and shooting – it’s about building strength, agility, self-belief, and teamwork. The camp format also promotes cardiovascular fitness and overall endurance in a way that feels like play, not pressure.
Most importantly, children make connections: forming friendships, supporting peers, and experiencing the joy of being part of a team. These lessons go well beyond the court, helping children grow into more self-assured, motivated, and socially aware individuals.
