From their first warm-up to the final siren, kids are supported by coaches who care about their progress and their happiness. Put simply, our AFL/AFLW camps build confidence, spark new friendships, and help young athletes feel part of something bigger.

Who can attend the AFL winter camp in Hobart?

Our doors are open to all children aged 5-14, no matter their skill level. Every player can count on support, challenges, and fun in a welcoming environment.

How are coaching groups arranged?

We aim to strike the right balance by grouping players by age, ability, and friendship requests (which you can make in the online booking form!)

Each group (typically 10 kids, maximum of 14) stays the same over the three days, so children can get to know their team and their coaches. A coaching director oversees all sessions to ensure quality and development.

What happens in wet weather?

Hobart winters can be unpredictable, but we never cancel camps in the case of bad weather. Drop-off and pick-up times remain the same – we simply adapt the structure to suit. For example, we’ll make use of a venue’s indoor or covered area, and modify sessions or increase the talks from guest stars and coaches.

What gear does my child need to bring?

We provide all the equipment they need to play, but children should attend camp with comfortable sportswear (consider colder temps), suitable footwear (like footy boots or runners), a lunch, and a refillable water bottle.

Our team provides snacks and refills to keep energy levels up.

Will my child receive feedback?

Yes! Each day ends with a team huddle and reflections. Every child goes home with a written coach’s report, and can review their own performance using video analysis software. Our aim is to always celebrate every achievement, while giving children goals to work towards.
