Tackling the school holidays
Whether your child dreams of a Wallabies jersey or is just discovering the sport, our Sydney Rugby Union camps create the right balance of structure, fun, and challenges.
Made for both boys and girls, players practise passing, kicking, tackling and game awareness – all in a safe, inclusive environment.
We find rugby teaches kids how to back themselves, trust their teammates, and keep moving forward, even after setbacks. By day three, you’ll see stronger skills and a boost in confidence.

Find a Camp
Will my child be safe learning to tackle at rugby camp?
Absolutely. Safety is our top priority. Younger players, or those new to rugby, will start with non-contact or modified contact drills. There’s a strong focus on safe technique, body position, and confidence. All tackling and ruck work is taught under close supervision by experienced coaches.
Does my child need prior Rugby Union experience?
No experience necessary! Our Sydney Rugby Union camps welcome kids of all levels, even if they’ve never passed a rugby ball. We group players by age and ability to make sure everyone is supported but challenged.
What does my child need to bring to camp?
Please pack a nut-free lunch, healthy snacks and a labelled water bottle. Kids should wear comfortable sports clothes, boots (or runners) and a mouthguard if they have one. Sunscreen is also recommended for outdoor sessions.
Can friends or siblings be placed together?
Of course! If your child wants to attend with a friend or sibling, just list their names during the online registration process. As long as they’re close in age and skill level, we’ll make sure they’re grouped together. However, we also encourage making new mates!
What will my child actually learn at camp?
Each day covers key Rugby Union skills like passing, kicking, tackling, rucking and positioning. Beyond the field, children will build leadership skills, resilience and confidence. We also hope they’ll leave with a deeper love of the sport and a bunch of new friends.
