Why parents choose ASC volleyball camps

We’ve been running sports camps for Aussie kids since 1982. Volleyball may be one of our newer additions, but it’s quickly become a favourite! Here are some reasons why:

  • Confidence building: Kids leave camp with a stronger serve and more solid self-belief.
  • A focus on safety: Every session is supervised by experienced  coaches and a qualified Coaching Director and first-aider.
  • More than just sport: Children learn how to communicate, lead, and work through challenges as a team.
  • Good coach-to-kid ratios: With small group sizes (of around 8-14), there’s space for personal feedback and mentoring.
  • Welcoming environment: All abilities and genders are welcome. We make sure every child feels included and supported.

Are children grouped with others at a similar level?

Yes. We group kids based on age, ability, and social requests where possible. We try to place children this way so they feel comfortable, challenged and supported from the very start.

If your children would like to attend camp with friends or siblings, just let us know in the online sign-up form.

Does my child need prior volleyball experience to attend?

Not at all. Our Brisbane volleyball camps welcome all skill levels – from first-timers to confident players. Coaches adapt drills so every child can progress at their own pace.

What should my child bring to camp?

Please pack comfortable sportswear and runners, a refillable water bottle, a nut-free packed lunch and snacks, and a hat and sunscreen during warmer months. We supply everything else they need to get playing.

What makes ASC volleyball camps different from other training sessions?

Our camps aren’t just about drills. They’re an energetic, three-day experience that combines skill-building with confidence-boosting, teamwork, and fun. With video feedback, guest mentors, and small group coaching, kids walk away sharper on the court – and stronger mentally and socially.

What also stands out about our camps is the community aspect. Kids are supported by their teammates and coaches, and many children make lifelong friends.
