How do I find my nearest AFL/AFLW holiday camp?
Camps run throughout the school holidays at multiple Canberra locations. Find your nearest camp and a suitable slot here.
What does my child need to wear?
Players should simply wear comfortable sports clothing and running shoes, along with a mouth guard if they have one. We’ll provide the rest of the gear.
Please also pack a nut-free lunch and a water bottle. Our team will take care of refills and snacks throughout the day.
Can my child sign up with a friend?
Yes! Just let us know their name(s) in the sign-up form. No worries if kids want to attend camp alone – they’ll meet great friends who love the sport just as much as they do.
How will my child benefit from an ALF camp?
Every Canberra AFL camp offers a heap of benefits. Physically, our drills and skills focus on fitness and technique. AFL can also teach motor skills like balance, coordination, and spatial awareness.
We see clear boosts in motivation, self-discipline, problem-solving smarts, and resilience. When kids learn to bounce back after a missed goal or a fumble, they’ll take those lessons into day-to-day life.
Overall, an AFL holiday camp embeds healthy habits, keeping kids engaged in sport instead of screens in their off-time.
