## Australian Sports Camps Background

Australian Sports Camps (ASC) is one of Australia's longest-running youth sports camp organizations, operating since 1982. The organization was established to provide structured, professionally coached sports programs that help children improve athletic skills while developing confidence, teamwork, and a lifelong enjoyment of sport.

ASC operates across all major Australian cities (except Darwin), and some regional areas on an adhoc basis. It offers camps in a wide variety of sports. The organization focuses on creating positive sporting experiences for participants of all skill levels, from complete beginners to advanced junior athletes. Over more than four decades, ASC has hosted hundreds of thousands (250,000+) of young participants and has been attended by future elite athletes across multiple sporting codes.

The company promotes the philosophy "Life's Better With Sport™" and positions itself as a developmental sports organization rather than an elite talent identification program. Its programs are designed to combine skill development, personal growth, social interaction, and enjoyment in a safe and supportive environment.

A camp will never be cancelled due to extreme weather. Drop off and pick up times will remain unchanged.

However, during episodes of extreme weather, we modify the program to make the best appropriate use of the venue’s facilities (undercover or indoor areas). This could involve talks from guest stars, coaches, modified intensity sessions and other games and activities.
