Will my child need to bring their own Rugby League gear?

We’ve got all the rugby balls, cones and bibs sorted! Your child just needs to come dressed in comfortable sportswear and footy boots or runners. If they already have headgear or a mouthguard, feel free to pack it.

Please also include a labelled water bottle, a nut-free packed lunch, and sunscreen.

Is this camp suitable for beginners?

Absolutely. Our Rugby League camps are open to girls and boys of all experience levels – from total first-timers to club players. Coaches group participants by age and ability, so every child feels supported and challenged in a way that suits them.

How many kids are in each group?

While we often have around 50 players on-site, children are placed into smaller groups of around 10 (with a maximum of 14 per group). This helps us maintain a safe, fun and personalised experience – so coaches can give each child the attention and feedback they need to thrive.

Can my child be grouped with their friend or sibling?

In most cases, yes. Just let us know in the ‘Friends Attending’ section during registration, and we’ll do our best to group them together, provided they’re a similar age and skill level. That said, solo players are always welcomed warmly. Most leave with plenty of new mates!

What’s different about ASC Rugby League camps?

We’ve been running school holiday sports camps for over 40 years, and Rugby League is always a popular choice among kids in Brissie! Kids don’t just learn the game. They build resilience, decision-making skills, and confidence – all in a high-energy, screen-free environment! Our guest player visits make the experience one they’ll talk about all year.

Got any Questions?

Yes, grouping can be arranged to suit age, ability, and friends. When booking on-line, just let us know their names in the 'friends attending' section. And, don’t worry if there are no friends attending — new friends will be made at camp!

Similarly, you can request for siblings to be grouped together, as long as the difference in age and ability is not too great.

Parents are welcome to stay and watch. However, there is no need to stay as all children will be supervised by camp staff for the duration of the program.

Yes, we provide great coaching for all ability levels — So, we can correctly group your child as a beginner, moderate, or advanced player, simply make the appropriate selection during the online booking process. There's also a booking notes section to include further details regarding your child's playing experience.

Our camps and programs are not generally suitable for children with significant physical or intellectual disabilities. Although our Chief of Staff and Coaching Director’s are traditionally school teachers or local head coaches who have the neccesary training, we’re not able to provide the one-to-one care that some children with disabilities may need. Nevertheless, we understand that every circumstance is different and we welcome a call about your child’s individual needs.

We welcome participants from all backgrounds and parts of the world. We value diversity and do not tolerate any discriminatory practices.
