David Williams is an Australian footballer who began his professional career signing for Brisbane Roar as a 17 year old after trialling with Belgian giant Club Brugge and world famous club Liverpool FC.
Williams, a striker and winger, spent three years from the ages of 18-21 for prominent Danish team Brondby IF playing 34 times before returning to the Australian A-League with North QLD Fury, Sydney FC. He then played for Melbourne Heart (now Melbourne City) from 2011 until the end of the 2016 season, before signing on with Hungarian team Haladás.
In 2008 he made his Socceroo debut for the Australian national team appearing in a World Cup qualifier versus China. He recently opened the league’s scoring for the 2012/13 A-League season when he struck in the 13th minute against fierce rival Melbourne Victory in their opening day 2-1 win in front of over 42,032 fans.
