ASC remembers great sports camps with Justin Langer!
The Justin Langer Cricket Camp was a marquee occasion each year. Hundreds of eager participants converge on Hale School, Wembley Downs to learn from and work with the great Justin Langer. The resume of ‘JL’ needs little introduction. Without a doubt, he is revered as one of the finest opening batsmen to have ever graced the game, let alone these shores.
Justin Langer Cricket Camp 2016/2017 Action
Justin’s dedication to his camp program delivered a magnificent camp program every year. In particular, a number of talented players treated our 225 participants to daily coaching in 2017! And worked with a panel of magnificent past and present star players. Alongside Justin that year our participants enjoyed meeting and learning from a number of players! Such as;
Terry Alderman,
Tom Hogan,
Kim Hughes,
Adam Voges,
Geoff Marsh,
Mitchell Marsh,
Sam Whiteman,
Andrew Tye,
Joel Paris,
Simon Mackin,
Ken Lilly and
Josh Nicholas.
These players draw from extensive elite-level experience. Their records include: 312 Tests, 384 ODI’s, 12 T20 Internationals, 26189 runs for the Green and Gold including 52 tons, 379 wickets and 18 five wicket bags. At State/County level our group has under their belts: 2912 matches, 110979 runs including 221 hundreds, 2084 wickets with 74 hauls of five or more. Our participants took advantage of this wealth of knowledge and worked hard on their skills whilst having lots of fun. Although over the years we have seen much talent take part in our camps on their way to the top of their respective sports, Australian Sports Camps has always enjoyed providing opportunities for all players to have fun and create life-long habits of participation in sport! Here are a couple of short clips of our participants at work! Some excellent shots and great line-and-length bowling was on display!
