Stacia is a talented Australian field hockey player, capable as a defender or midfielder, having represented Australia 42 times. She has been battling injury since her debut in 2009, which ruled her out of both the World Cup and Commonwealth Games. Stacia was a runner-up at the 2009 Champions Trophy, where Australia were beaten on home soil via a penalty shootout. After strong performances at various Hockeyroos training camps, she secured her spot in the Oceania Cup team. She was also a part of the 2012 Australian Women’s Hockey Olympic Squad in London. Stacia captained the Victorian Vipers from 2011 to 2015, securing a gold medal at the 2012 Australian Hockey League tournament and a bronze medal finish in 2015. In 2014, she was named MVP of the Victorian Premier League. In 2016, it was announced that she was taking on the interim role of VIS Women’s Hockey Program Head Coach. We look forward to having Stacia at our ASC VIC Hockey Camps.
