DUSTIN FLETCHER
Dustin Fletcher is a retired AFL player for Essendon, with a playing career that spanned over 20 years. He is renowned as one of the finest defenders in the AFL, and played at full-back for over 350 games. Dustin is a dual-premiership player, having played in both the 1993 and 2000 Essendon premierships. He won Essendon's Best and Fairest in 2000 and was named an All-Australian in both 2000 and 2007. In 2015 Round 9, Dustin played his 400th game, becoming the 4th player in history to reach the milestone. Fletcher served as goalkeeper for the Australian international rules football team for four series: 2005, 2006, 2010 and 2014. He was co-captain in the 2006 series and is considered to be one of Australia's greatest keepers. In 2017, Fletcher returned to suburban football, playing for Essendon Doutta Stars. Dustin Fletcher has attended Australian Sports Camps as a guest coach to relay his experiences and perspectives on football to the next generation.
