Rock climbing camp FAQs
What’s the difference between bouldering and rock climbing?
Rock climbing usually involves ropes and harnesses to support the climbing of tall walls. Bouldering doesn’t use ropes – but does have safety crash mats – and involves climbing shorter walls.
Rockface has both climbing walls and bouldering areas, giving children the chance to try different things. Every activity is closely supervised and instructed by our experienced team.
What’s the best age to start rock climbing?
Kids start climbing playgrounds (and scaling furniture!) as soon as they walk. So, children are welcome to join our rock climbing program from the age of five.
This helps them develop proper technique and coordination early on, building strength safely over time. Not to mention, they burn energy in a fun, healthy way.
Climbing teaches valuable life skills like focus, decision-making, and trust. Many children who begin early discover a lifelong love of the sport.
Our rock climbing camps are open for boys and girls between the ages of 5 and 14, from beginners to those who already have a grasp of the ropes.
