Winter school holidays are nearly here, and places are filling up fast for ASC Winter 2017 programs. Australia wide we offer Basketball, AFL, Hockey, Netball, Soccer, Karate, Rugby Union and Rugby League camps across all the major capital cities. These holiday camps are suitable for 6 to 16 year old boys and girls of any skill level.
They run over 3 days from 9am to 3pm each day. We employ specialist coaches with a minimum Level 1 coaching accreditation, alongside guest talent so your kids can learn from the best and meet their sporting heroes too.

Across the country, we are delighted to be joined by professional AFL players past and present as guest coaches at our AFL camps. Callan Ward, current Greater Western Sydney Giants co-captain, will be working with the NSW participants in Daceyville and North Ryde. Debuting in AFL in 2008, he has proven himself as an aggressive tackler, strong marker and talented kicker, having been named the Giants’ Best and Fairest in 2012.
In VIC, we have AFL camps for girls and boys. Karen Paxman will join us, after debuting with Melbourne Football Club in the 2017 women’s league. She is an elite midfielder, five time All Australian and six-time premiership player in the state league.
Harry Taylor (Geelong Football Club), Christian Petracca (Melbourne Football Club), Robbie Tarrant (North Melbourne Football Club), Lynden Dunn (Collingwood Football Club) and Kevin Sheedy (Super Coach & Essendon legend) will also guest coach at our various AFL VIC programs. Christian is recognised as one of the best young players in the league, with many comparing him to Steve Johnson, Norm Smith medallist and three-time premiership player. Harry, is a former attendee of our camps as a junior and now passes on his experience, having coached with us on several occasions. He is a two-time premiership player and 2015 Jim Stynes medallist. He is established as one of the premier defenders in the league, and was converted to a key forward this year. Lynden, has played football in AFL and VFL for 13 seasons, described as one of Melbourne’s best one on one defenders, before joining the Collingwood Football Team this year. Robbie is strong and agile, and is one of the most destructive defenders in the game.
Kevin Sheedy is arguably the greatest contributor to the modern-day game of AFL Football. Having played and coached the game of AFL football for over 40 years, Kevin has been a leader of innovation of the game and a master of strategy. Kevin has been a regular coach and contributor to ASC over many years. He will be present at the Bulleen camp, using his extensive experience to coach participants.
Over in WA, our AFL participants will get to work with Karl Langdon (formerly with the West Coast Eagles) and Andrew Embley. Karl is currently a leading sports commentator and radio personality since retiring from the AFL in 1996 after 100 games. Andrew is also a former AFL player for the West Coast Eagles, and was the 2006 Norm Smith medallist and his former coach John Worsfold credited much of the Eagles’ mid-2000s success to him.
We are thrilled to have these AFL greats join us at our different AFL camps and pass on their skills and knowledge to the next generation of AFL players!
Also, this year, we are fortunate enough to have Australian Diamond squad members and elite players along to our Netball camps across Australia, bringing their knowledge of playing at the highest level of netball to participants.
Furthermore, we are excited to have Abbey McCulloch at our NSW netball camps. She is co-captain of the NSW Swifts, and as a junior player she was highly successful representing NSW in under 17, 19 and 21 squads, winning the National Netball Championship six years in a row! Her experience with kids and on the court, makes her the perfect guest coach for our Netball camp.
In VIC, we will be joined by Kate Moloney, Emily Mannix and Jo Weston. Emily, plays for the Melbourne Vixens and is a true circle defender in the positions of Goal Keeper (GK) and Goal Defence (GD). She is aggressive, competitive and reliable. Jo was a part of the Diamonds 2015 Constellation Cup squad.
