Rodrigo Vargas is a former captain and fan favourite of the Melbourne Victory FC! And is the newest member of our ASC team. Melbourne Victory recruited Vargas in 2006 where he capped 139 games for the club! He holds the current record for most appearances. He was a vital member in the 2007 & 2009 premiership team. Melbourne Victory also presented the "victory medal" to Vargas in 2008. He was also named in the 2009 Australian National team for the AFC world cup qualifiers. We’re more than excited for Rodrigo to be joining our ASC team! And we look forward to having him attend the Victorian Soccer Winter camp’s, 2014. Liz Watson a professional Australian Netball player may be our newest addition to the ASC team, however not to the netball court. At just 20 years old, Liz has not only represented Australia in the Under 21’s Australian Netball Squad in 2013 & 2014, but also secured her spot in the Melbourne Vixen’s 2014 team. Watson has recently been selected for the Australian Diamond’s Squad, in the preparations for the Commonwealth games. We are lucky to have Liz aboard and look forward to her attendance throughout selected Victorian Netball Winter camp’s 2014 Tony Shaw is a former professional Australian rules footballer, who has had over 300 caps for Collingwood FC through his career. The former Collingwood captain had also achieved Best & Fairest for 1984. Since hanging up the boots, Shaw has been a successful coach at Collingwood (1996) & been a heavy influence on football media. We look forward to having the football veteran at our Victorian Football Winter camp’s 2014.
