These holidays, Australian Sports Camps will once again run their Soccer camp at Canberra Grammar School. These sports camps run four times a year for kids aged 6 – 16 and cater to all skill levels.
We employ coaches with a minimum Level 1 Coaching qualification and ensure a 1:10 coach to child ratio so that your child receives the individual attention required to maximise their skill development.
Our coaching panels are joined by special guest talent; elite athletes that work with your kids and pass on their knowledge of the game they’ve gained from playing at the highest level.
We’ve assembled this guide to give parents an idea of what to expect from our camps, and what your child can gain from attending.

A combination of some of the best current and former Soccer players, and experienced coaches makes this camp perfect for experienced players looking to maximise their skills and become the best Soccer player they can be.
We also cater to young and inexperienced players with our specialised skill development training, which gives kids players a taste of different positions and allows them to develop their skills across all areas of the game. Because kids aren’t pigeon holed in one position, they strengthen their abilities in all areas, meaning they are less likely to get bored and frustrated, causing them to lose interest in the game.
Also, it also allows the children to learn from each other. ASC allows kids to try different player positions and learn skills without the pressure of a real competition. That way, if they choose to join a club in the future they have the experience behind them to know where they are best suited.
To maintain interest and enthusiasm, we have programmed a wide range of training drills and exercises spread across the three days.
We also use state of the art digital video coaching software and provide you and your child with a unique written report from their coach at the end of the camp. This helps children work out where their strengths lie, and what areas need extra attention for fast improvement.
We only employ coaches with a minimum Level 1 coaching qualification, as well as senior coaching staff with many years of experience. Our overall group coach to participant ratio is 1:10 to ensure your child receives the individual attention they require. In addition, our camps also feature guest appearances from leading Soccer players, to deliver top level training for all participants, and of course the chance for your kids to meet their sporting idols.
Sporting talent varies each school holidays, but to give you an idea of the calibre of talent we have in attendance, for the last four Canberra Soccer camps we have been joined by Caitlin Munoz.
Caitlin played for Canberra United from 2011 – 2014. Previously, she represented Australia at the 2002 FIFA Under 19 World Cup. She also played over 60 times for the Matildas, including the 2006 and 2008 Women’s Asian Cup. In 2007, she played for Australia in the World Cup. That year, the team made it to the quarter finals stage, which is the furthest of any Australian womens’ or mens’ team ever! Adding to her accomplishments, she won the golden boot award for the most goals in 2010, 2011, and again in 2012. Her passion for the game is evident when she works with the kids to improve their skills and technique.
